Paco Gento and Phil Neal

Francisco 'Paco' Gento played for Real Madrid from 1953 to 1971. He played in all eight of their European Cup finals between 1956 and 1966, six of which they won. (They've since won the Champions League seven times).

Seven players, including the legendary Alfredo di Stefano, featured in five of Real Madrid's six European Cup wins; these seven all missed out on the sixth, in 1966.

Three players have won five Champions League medals: Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Costacurta (both AC Milan) and Cristiano Ronaldo (one with Manchester United, four with Real Madrid).

Phil Neal is one of four players with four European Cup winners' medals; the other three all played for Real Madrid. In addition, 16 players have four Champions' League medals. No fewer than ten of them – including Gareth Bale – featured in all four of Real Madrid's titles between 2014 and 2018. Cristiano Ronaldo also played in all four of these, as well as 2008.

Sixty–two players have won three European Cup or Champions' League medals. Eight of them are Liverpool players: Alan Hansen, Graeme Souness, Kenny Dalglish, Ray Clemence, Terry McDermott, Ray Kennedy, Jimmy Case and Steve Heighway.
